Those who know me already know I’ve had a long passion with Sports Cars and have long wanted to start homing MG’s.
What’s held me back for so many years is the inability to find a reasonably good MG B in restorable condition with an Automatic Transmission.
Well, here she is!
Understanding the ‘B’ was the first ever Factory Auto, I haven’t decided if I’ll ever buy earlier MG’s. If I found an MG before the ‘B’ or a midget, someone else had already converted to Automatic transmission, I’d strongly consider it.
I’m also strongly interested in an Auto MG B GT at the right price.
The ‘B’ Model was an absolute trendsetter of a car with an ability to take many standard components, combining them with an All New structure and suspension system to create a low, sleek, well balanced bullet proof design.
Am I saying they’re perfect? Of course not, all automotive engineering is a set of trade-offs. The ultimate beauty of this package was the combination of reliability and performance at a price point the average punter could finance.
